About us
Claudius Peters Projects GmbH is part of the Technologies Division of Claudius Peters Group GmbH, headquartered in Buxtehude, Hamburg with regional offices in America, Europe, China and the Far East. We set the benchmark for technological excellence in the industry and beyond and our name is synonymous with innovation and leading edge solutions.

Within the project Best Agers Lighthouses we focus in particular on the Division Aerospace, which manufactures aircraft parts for Airbus with about 120 employees. From the early days of the A300 to the A380 "super jumbo", Claudius Peters has manufactured vital components for every Airbus in service today. Providing rigidity and strength to the fuselage of the aircraft, many kilometres of specially profiled metal sections called "stringers" are fabricated into the skin of every aircraft built; these have been manufactured by Claudius Peters' aerospace division for more than 2 decades.

Why we participate in Best Agers Lighthouses
The average age of the employees increased also at Claudius Peters in the last years, which causes new requirements for the human resource management. By taking part in the project Best Agers Lighthouses we would like to tackle these challenges.

The management of young qualified workers is of particular importance for us, since several of our "knowledge holders" will retire in the next years and we have to organize company internal know how transfer to keep their crucial knowledge. At the same time people have to work longer, which sometimes affects the organisation of workplaces and the work environment as well.

By joining the Best Agers Lighthouse project, we started a long-term intervention process. We get assistance in the situation analysis as well as in the implementation of first actions. We are in particular interested in the experiences of other companies, for example from Finland.
