Project at Conference “Wellbeing at Work”

From 26-28 May 2014 the Danish National Research Center for the Working Environment (NRCWE) organised the major European conference on wellbeing at work in Copenhagen. The project Best Agers Lighthouses organised a symposium entitled "Active ageing at work and strategic age management in SMEs" during the main conference programme.

The conference brought together state of the art knowledge from psychology, epidemiology, physiology, and occupational and social medicine in order to capture the challenges at the labour market which many Western countries are facing.

Anita Richert-Kazmierska, project partner from Gdansk University of Technology, organised the symposium in which three presentations and subsequent discussions focused on the project content and evaluation. The presentation of her "Age management in SMEs - The employees' opinions", from Roland Kadefors "Costs and benefits of age management in the enterprise" and Marjo Wallin "Age management practices in SMEs in the Baltic Sea Region" can soon be found in the download section ("Evaluation and Case Studies") as well as a poster "Strengths of employees 55+ in opinion of managers from SME sector" which was prepared by Anita Richert-Kazmierska and her colleague Katarzyna Stankiewicz.
